Description
This is a try at a mammalian predator - albeit not the most exciting one. This is a small cooperative predator of the forest floor, a platigrade-walking, somewhat omnivorous creature that I figure is closer to a creodont then to a canid.
For the mammalian carnivores of this world, I figure that most of them would live in peripheral roles as scavengers and nocturnal/crepuscular predators. They would have come from the same stock as our carnivores - cretaceous/paleocene insectivores - but would be relegated to the sidelines of the ecosystems. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule...
(Design-wise, this little bastard is a messy combination of tasmanian tiger, Hyaenodon, and indian civet.)

Looks kind of like a mix between a ferret and a dog or wolf.
