Flightless Azhdarchid

A flightless Azhdarch, in the mold of Naish's Shemhazai ptychocheirus. Visually modeled on a saddlebill stork, this critter is one of the few South American flightless azhdarchids to survive the pleistocene. With camel-style footpads instead of hooves to run on, and claws on the forepaws for opening carcasses and self protection, these big monsters spend their lives galloping around the pampas and marshlands eating carrion, kicking small animals, swallowing giant rodents [link] , and ingesting everything else they can swallow.
